I’m Dave Tootill, and after many years of planning and construction I have finally completed this 1/8th scale scratch built model of the Space Jockey from the film Alien — also more recently known as the Engineer from Prometheus.

This thing has been completely scratch built and a real labour of love. All the painting is finished. This model is by far the most ambitious project I’ve ever undertaken and it carries a great deal of blood, sweat, and tears.

It was such a substantial undertaking, I thought it deserved a website dedicated entirely to its construction. There is much more to add, but it begins here.
